Manchester City fans have sent a unified message to Leroy Sane, calling on him to make a return to the Etihad Stadium after being pictured in a fond exchange with Pep Guardiola after Bayern’s 4-1 aggregate defeat.

The pair were snapped having a post-match conversation after the Champions League contest at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening. The Blues progressed to the semi-finals at the expense of the German outfit - winning 3-0 at home in the first-leg, before drawing 1-1 with Thomas Tuchel's men in the second leg.

Sane, who registered 39 goals and 46 assists in 135 matches for City, started both legs of the tie, but was unable to have the desired impact. It recently emerged the 27-year-old was on the receiving end of a punch from teammate Sadio Mane after the clash at the Etihad.
