Manchester United's clearest problem could be their greatest strength vs Tottenham
We are only 90 minutes into the season but such is the microscope Manchester United exists under, there is plenty of attention already focussed on their Premier League start.
The Reds were opening weekend winners, if not convincing ones, as Raphael Varane's header proved enough to squeak past a tigerish Wolves. Erik ten Hag will have been less than impressed by his side's performance, which flattered to deceive, and will be seeking answers ahead of a tea-time trip to Tottenham on Saturday.
Perhaps the biggest selection question is in midfield, with United at times over-run and over-powered by Gary O'Neill's men on Monday night. A central attacking pair of Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount left Casemiro isolated.

Christian Eriksen's arrival off the bench helped the Reds gain a foothold in the middle of the park and the Dane comes into contention for a starting berth against his former side. But Ten Hag will not be one for knee-jerk reactions. Mount wasn't at his best on debut but he is Ten Hag's signing and a player the Dutchman has great faith in. Should United retain their central cohort then it's a strategy that may pay off against Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham.
Spurs began the season with a 2-2 draw at Brentford, a game in which they dominated possession and showed the first shoots of introducing an all guns blazing style their manager deployed during his time in charge of Celtic. He's an attack-minded manager, as much about entertainment and goals as he is silverware.
“As much as we get defined by success – winning trophies and winning games – the most pleasing thing for me is the number of goals we've scored,” Postecoglou
