Manchester United reaction to Ralf Rangnick comments is a warning to Erik ten Hag
Ralf Rangnick's spell as interim manager of Manchester United might not go down in history as one of success, but it might still be remembered fondly by fans given his no-nonsense approach and decision to challenge club protocol.
The German coach arrived with great ideas to transform the fractured club, but despite his best intentions, he's found it extremely hard to implement and make the necessary changes.
In principle, a manager like Rangnick is exactly what United need; someone who isn't afraid to spout hard truths and an individual who has the authority and experience to challenge the decisions that have been made above him. The 63-year-old might not be able to walk the walk as well as he can talk the talk, though there is hope that Erik ten Hag will certainly be able to.

Rangnick is believed to be an admirer of the Ajax boss and one of those who endorsed his credentials as those of a possible United manager. Time will tell if he manages to fulfill such lofty expectations, but in order to do so, he might well learn a valuable lesson from the man he is replacing in the Old Trafford dugout.
As United's season has begun to deteriorate even further, Rangnick has become more outspoken. A brave call as he risks his long-term relationship with the club in order to speak his mind, but another breath of fresh air for fans who see past the usual club rhetoric of buzzwords and brand image.
