Manchester United predicted line-up vs Nottingham Forest as Casemiro and Antony start

Injury-hit Manchester United will be targeting a return to winning ways when they face Nottingham Forest in the fifth round of the FA Cup at the City Ground on Wednesday evening.

United, who were beaten 2-1 by Forest when they last met in December, fell to a narrow home defeat to Fulham on Saturday, marking the end of their five-game winning run. Alex Iwobi netted a late winner at Old Trafford after Harry Maguire, just a few minutes earlier, had brought United level.

The defeat to Fulham has left United eight points shy of the top four, meaning their Champions League qualification hopes for next season are now in serious jeopardy. The FA Cup remains their only realistic chance of winning a trophy this season and salvaging what is left of the campaign.

Injuries have contributed to United's downfall this season, with manager Erik ten Hag rarely finding himself in a position to name a full-strength starting XI. After losing Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund last week, Maguire has now been added to the list of absentees for the trip to the City Ground.

Question marks also surround the availability of Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes, meaning United are at risk of travelling to the Midlands with a heavily depleted squad.

Nevertheless, Ten Hag is likely to stick with a familiar trend in goal on the banks of the Trent and hand a start to Andre Onana. The Cameroonian has featured in all but one of United's 36 matches in all competitions this season, missing only the FA Cup fourth-round triumph over Newport County because he was away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
