Rasmus Hojlund reveals Erik ten Hag tactical instruction for Manchester United's attackers

Rasmus Hojlund has confirmed Erik ten Hag has given Manchester United's attackers the freedom to interchange positions during matches.

Hojlund got off to a slow start in Manchester after signing from Atalanta in the summer, but he scored his first goal in the Premier League during the festive period and enjoyed a prolific run in front of goal, scoring seven goals in six league games until he picked up an injury.

The initial assessment of Hojlund's injury indicated he would be unavailable for two to three weeks and he's been absent for games against Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City.

Hojlund is now closing in on a return to action and it was announced on Friday that he'd won the Premier League's Player of the Month award for February.

The 21-year-old sat down with club media to reflect on his excellent run and said: "I have to give credit to my teammates, they are the reason why I have performed this month. They have helped me, but from a personal point of view, I've done well, so I'm very happy and grateful.

"I think I always like to say I have confidence before going into the games. Of course, you have a little bit of momentum when you've scored and you feel in a good flow, you just want the next game to come. I don't really care how they go in, I just want to get on the scoresheet."

When asked about his connection with Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, Hojlund said: "It's growing with everybody really. I think also in training, we're starting to understand each other and the patterns. We also have the freedom to change positions during the game as well.
