Manchester United player ratings vs Athletic Bilbao with a 9/10 as Europa League final place confirmed

Manchester United are through to the final of the Europa League after Thursday’s 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao at Old Trafford secured a 7-1 aggregate victory.

Mikel Jauregizar handed the visitors the lead on the half hour mark with a brilliant curling effort after Harry Maguire made a mess of his attempted clearance.

Unai Núñez went close with a header in the second half before substitute Mason Mount produced an excellent turn and finish to make it 1-1.

Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund scored late on before a brilliant effort from Mount made it 4-1 to United.

Here are how the players rated at Old Trafford:

Andre Onana

Got a hand to Jauregizar's fine curling effort but it would be harsh to label it a goalkeeping error. Had little else to do, despite Athletic's dominance. 5

Victor Lindelof

An incongruous starter even after lining up last week and played United into trouble twice early on. Another nervy performance. 5

Harry Maguire

His sloppy pass led to Athletic's goal and, like the rest of the United defence, will be relieved the Williams brothers were back in Bilbao. 5

Leny Yoro

Earned a couple of rounds of applause from Ruben Amorim in the first half. Coolest of the back three and went on the front foot to assist Mount. 7

Noussair Mazraoui

Remained on the wing but found it tougher going than in Bilbao and got booked, which possibly influenced the decision to substitute him. 5

Casemiro

His weakest performance in the knockout stage. Struggled to match Athletic's intensity and committed a cynical foul on Alvaro Djalo. But still got the winning goal. 7

Manuel Ugarte

Started identically to last week, constantly picking out an Athletic shirt, and he did not improve after half-time. So poor he was hooked. 4
