Manchester United player ratings as two players good but Mason Mount poor vs Lens
Andre Onana
The new Manchester United first-choice 'keeper ended up being lobbed from 45 yard, although that was more on right-back Diogo Dalot. Handled with care and faultless with his feet. Made some decent stops. 6
Diogo Dalot
Was reinstated to the first-team but may have already relinquished his starting berth with a poor performance. Culpable for Florian Sotoca's majestic lob. 5
Raphael Varane
Largely untroubled against his former club as he returned to the starting XI. Overcame an injury scare to continue in the second half. 6
Lisandro Martinez
Another fulfilling outing for the Argentine, who has not looked like a player recently back from a long-term injury. 7

Luke Shaw
Had a shot on target in the first half and his performance level steadily grew. His set-piece led to the third goal. 7
Casemiro
Committed in the tackle and purposeful with his passing. Got a fortuitous goal but his quality was consistent throughout. 8
Mason Mount
An underwhelming summer continued as he missed a sitter from six yards out with the game goalless. Better off the ball than on it. 5
Antony
Admonished by Bruno Fernandes at half-time, he responded with an assist and a goal within the first 10 minutes of the second half. 7
Bruno Fernandes
Dropped deep to maximise his vision and encourage Mount to move further forward. Admonished Antony at half time and it worked. 7
Alejandro Garnacho
Bright throughout as he prepares to start the season. Should have created a goal for Mount but did create one for Antony. 8
