Had little handling to do in the first half but his distribution was questionable at times. Not as erratic after half-time. 6

Rinsed by Jeremy Doku in the first half. He had a calmer start to the second and moved across to left back when Harry Maguire went off. Converted his penalty. 6

Harry Maguire

Coped decently amid City's spells of pressure and came through unscathed after missing the friendly with Liverpool last week. 6

Jonny Evans

Did not look as comfortable as he did as a starter against City earlier this year in the first 20 minutes but regained composure. Horrific penalty. 5

His first start at left back for United and he was let off the hook when James McAtee hit the post. Moved back to centre back after Maguire was substitued and intervened a couple of times. 6

Casemiro

More effective as an attacking, rather than defensive, midfielder as he fashioned chances for Amad and Marcus Rashford. 7

Eased his way back into the team on his first United appearance since the FA Cup final. Clipped a nice pass to instigate an attack. 6

Ignored by teammates at times and when he finally got the ball he had United's first chance. Should have scored with his second opportunity. 6

A quiet start on his ninth United start but grew into the game. Failed to maintain that level into the second half and came off. 5

Shanked a good chance not long before half-time and then fluffed an even better chance well into the second half. 5
