Manchester United legend tells Darwin Nunez to join Liverpool
Manchester United great Gary Pallister has told Darwin Nunez that Liverpool is a 'better destination' than his former club at present.
The transfer window opens on Friday and it's going to be a pivotal summer for United as they look to improve the squad following the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag. As well as a centre-midfielder or two, a centre-back and right-back, a new striker is also on the club's agenda.
Following the departure of Edinson Cavani, United have been left with Cristiano Ronaldo as their only natural centre-forward option. While the Portuguese proved he remains deadly in the box with 24 goals this past season, at 37 he can't be relied upon to lead the line by himself for an entire campaign.

That has led to United looking for attacking reinforcements and the club holds an interest in Benfica's star striker Nunez, who scored 34 goals in 41 matches last season. However, with form like that other clubs are bound to be interested and one of them is Liverpool.
The Merseyside outfit are looking for their own forward signing with Sadio Mane set to depart Anfield and Pallister believes that Nunez would be better served opting for a move to United's great rivals.
