Manchester United 'learn of latest Rasmus Hojlund rival' and more transfer rumours

Rasmus Hojlund is on Bayern Munich's summer shortlist as the German side eye a world-class striker, according to reports.

The German side are in a similar position to Manchester United, with a No.9 their summer priority. Similarly to the Reds, interest in Harry Kane has fizzled out amid an unwillingness to play games with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Hojlund enjoyed a promising season with Atalanta, scoring nine goals in 32 Serie A appearances. The 20-year-old's most exciting performances have come on international duty, however, with the striker netting five times in four caps.

As such, BILD's Christian Falk reports that Bayern have added the frontman to their shortlist, seeing him as a cheaper alternative with higher potential to develop. It means Bayern could once again rival the Reds for a major transfer, having seemingly won the race for defender Kim Min-jae.

LUCKHURST: United want to sign a No.1 goalkeeper

Elsewhere, Calciomercato reports that United are interested in Juventus defender Gleison Bremer but would have to pay $51million (€60million) to land him.

Erik ten Hag is expected to bring a centre-back to Old Trafford, with previous links to Kim Min-jae - pipped by Bayern - Jurrien Timber and Axel Disasi. The future of current squad member Harry Maguire remains uncertain, with the 30-year-old fearful of losing his England place due to a lack of regular football.

The latest point of interest is said to be Bremer, the 26-year-old Brazilian who only joined Juventus from Torino last summer after being named Serie A defender of the year for the 2021/2022 campaign.

Bremer has played 43 times for Juventus this season and has three Brazil caps.
