Manchester United 'interested' in West Ham star and more transfer rumours

Manchester United's hopes of signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans this coming summer have been handed a timely boost.

That is according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, as cited by the Express, who has revealed that the Belgian international has turned down the offer of a new contract at the King Power Stadium.

Tielemans, who joined Leicester in 2019 following an initial loan spell from French club AS Monaco, is out-of-contract at the club in the summer of 2023, meaning this coming summer could represent the Foxes' final opportunity to secure a big-money fee for the midfielder.

The Belgian, who turns 25 in May, has been closely linked with several clubs in recent weeks, including United, who are poised to prioritise the signing of a central-midfielder this summer.

According to reports, United, along with Arsenal and Liverpool, are interested in the midfielder and would like to add him to their armoury.

Tielemans, who is planning on remaining professional at the King Power Stadium and fulfil his duties until he leaves the club, whenever that may be, has gone from strength-to-strength since first arriving in England, scoring 23 goals and claiming 22 assists in 135 appearances in all competitions.

In addition, reports in Belgium claim that any one expressing an interest in Tielemans this summer could secure his signature for somewhere in the region of £33.6million.

Meanwhile, United are interested in making a summer move for West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen, a report by Calciomercato claims.
