Manchester United icon makes blunt admission amid Neymar transfer 'interest'

Louis Saha would love to see Neymar in the Premier League but insists he wouldn't want to see the Brazilian at Manchester United.

The Reds have been sensationally linked with Neymar in recent weeks, with the winger reportedly unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain and the French club concerned over fitness and form. The 31-year-old has not played since February and will miss the rest of this season after undergoing surgery on an ankle injury.

United were one of three clubs named in Spanish media as potential suitors and last week the Sun reported that the Brazilian could be made a top target if Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim is successful in his takeover of the club.

"It would be great for the Premier League to have Neymar playing in England because he's such a terrific player," Saha told Betfred. "He's very entertaining to watch but I can understand the question marks that can come from having a player like Neymar at your club.

"I'm just a big fan of the player on the pitch but I don't believe he's lived up to expectations in his last three or four seasons with PSG. I wouldn't want to see him in a Manchester United shirt considering the exaggerated media attention a superstar like him would attract.

"The team structure is so important and still fragile at times. But I certainly believe he'd be a great addition to the Premier League."

Chelsea and Manchester City were also named as potential suitors for the Brazilian, who has scored an impressive 118 goals in 173 appearances for PSG. The former Barcelona man has somewhat fallen behind Kylian Mbappe in Paris, however, and both he and Lionel Messi could leave the French outfit this summer.
