Manchester United 'hold internal talks on Alexis Mac Allister' and other transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly held internal talks to float the possibility of making a move for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

Mac Allister announced himself on the world stage back in December as he became one of Argentina's unsung heroes in Qatar. However, on the South Coast, he has been a crucial player in the Seagulls' impressive Premier League team.

So far this campaign, the 24-year-old has scored eight goals in 23 appearances for Roberto De Zerbi's team. Under Graham Potter, the Argentine was playing in a defensive-midfield role but, since the appointment of the Italian, Mac Allister has progressed further up the field.

According to CaughtOffside, the midfielder is being discussed as a possible summer target. United are warned though that Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are also considering moves.

Elsewhere, 90min reports that United have sent scouts to look at RB Salzburg right-back Amar Dedic. The 20-year-old Bosnian spent last season on loan at Wolfsberger and has returned with a point to prove.

Dedic has made 27 appearances for the Austrian club so far this season which included starts in all of their Champions League games. The report claims that the Reds' scouts were initially watching Benjamin Sesko and the teenage striker is still being watched by United.

However, the recruitment team were drawn to Dedic's performances leading him to now be fully scouted by Erik ten Hag's team. United may have to spend big if they are wanting to bring the defender to Old Trafford though.

Salzburg's man is currently contracted to their club until 2027 and thus United may need to bid big to secure his signature.
