Manchester United have a good reason to feel confident about facing David Moyes' West Ham

Manchester United are set to face David Moyes, their former manager, for the fourteenth time since he left Old Trafford. The match against West Ham will take place at the London Stadium on Saturday.

United fans are hoping for another win against Sir Alex Ferguson's successor. So far, they've won nine out of the 13 matches against Moyes since he was sacked in April 2014.

Moyes, who has managed Sunderland and West Ham since leaving United, has only beaten his old club twice. His teams have scored just seven goals and conceded 19 times.

Moyes' poor record isn't just recent. In 37 matches against United, he's only won six times, averaging just 0.68 points per league match.

Since Moyes became Hammers boss, Manchester United and West Ham have had five 1-0 results in eleven matches, with United winning four times.

A victory on Saturday could see United climb from seventh place, where they're currently just one point above West Ham. This would also put them just three points behind local rivals Manchester City on Christmas day. However, a loss could see United drop to ninth place.

Erik ten Hag, the Manchester United manager, is hoping to pile on the misery for West Ham. The Hammers suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals last night.

In an FA Cup match on 1 March 2023, United beat West Ham 3-1. Despite Benrahma scoring first for West Ham,
