Manchester United handed two Premier League fixture changes

Manchester United's Premier League trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers next year has been moved for television coverage.

Erik ten Hag's side were initially due at Molineux on Tuesday, January 30, but will now kick off at 8.15pm on Thursday, February 1. The game will be shown live on TNT Sports. United's following game at home to West Ham was originally set for Saturday, February 3 but will now be moved due to the close proximity of their midweek fixture.

It will likely be played on the Sunday or Monday evening. The fixture changes mean United currently only have two matches scheduled for January.

They face League One outfit Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium in the FA Cup third round on January 8 before welcoming Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford on January 14.

Both January games have been selected for TV coverage. Should they come away from Wigan with victory, the Reds will have an FA Cup fourth round clash to pencil in for the weekend of January 27/28 - the weekend before their midweek trip to Wolves.

United opened their 2023/2024 season with a 1-0 win over Gary O'Neil's side, Raphael Varane scoring the only goal of the game. Goalkeeper Andre Onana was fortunate not to give away a late penalty that night after clashing with Saša Kalajdzic while trying to claim a cross.

The Reds won last season's trip to Molineux, which took place on New Year's Eve 2022, with Marcus Rashford scoring the only goal of the game off the bench.
