Manchester United great Gary Neville makes Sir Alex Ferguson hairdryer treatment admission
Gary Neville has said that no player challenged Sir Alex Ferguson when receiving the famous hairdryer treatment in the dressing room.
Sir Alex was well-known for not holding back when United were far from their best and his half-time team talks turned plenty of games around in United's favour.
Managing a group of world-class players who had won everything at club level but still being able to manage egos while instilling fear in players was what made the Scot one of, if not the, greatest manager in Premier League and world football history.
Speaking alongside ex-United captain Roy Keane, Neville said that every player accepted the hairdryer when it was their turn and no-one ever answered back when Sir Alex was speaking to them.
"No," Neville said on Sky Sports' The Overlap when asked if players 'gave it back' to Sir Alex. "I mean you had to take it when it was your turn, you took it really."
Neville then said that he didn't remember Keane getting too many hairdryer treatments, to which the Irishman responded: "When I got them they were big.
Neville joked that they were deserved, prompting Keane to dispute that claim.
