Manchester United fans split on summer recruitment after Lisandro Martinez transfer

Manchester United fans are split on how well the club have performed so far in the summer transfer window, after the addition of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.

Martinez, 24, has become United's third signing under new manager Erik ten Hag following the additions of Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen earlier in the window.

The Sky Bet Fan Hope Survey shows that 51 per cent of United fans are happy with the overall transfer business conducted so far, though there is a desire for more faces to be added to the squad in the coming weeks.

United are still working on a deal to try to bring Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong to the club before September's deadline, and 49 per cent of fans surveyed listed him as a top target for the window. It has been 11 weeks since the club's interest in the Dutch international was first registered, and they haven't given up hope of signing him, despite the prolonged talks with Barcelona and many hurdles in place to try to complete a deal.
