Manchester United fans split in response to Jesse Lingard brother's scathing comments
Manchester United fans have offered up a mixed response to scathing comments made by Jesse Lingard's brother after the player was denied an Old Trafford farewell on Monday night. In their final home match of the season, United boss Ralf Rangnick overlooked Lingard against Brentford and he went unused on the bench.
With just two months left on his contract, it's expected Lingard will depart this summer amid interest from West Ham, Newcastle and possible suitors from abroad, including rejuvenated Italian giants AC Milan.
Lingard has only played 355 minutes in the Premier League this season, despite being promised chances by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after his stunning loan spell at West Ham last season. He scored nine goals and notched five assists from 16 outings under David Moyes.

After watching another soon-to-be free agent Juan Mata start the Brentford game, as well as the departing Nemanja Matic, Lingard watched on as Edinson Cavani, Phil Jones and fit-again Brazil midfielder Fred were summoned from the bench by Rangnick. And it was a move that clearly irked Lingard's brother, Louie Scott.
Posting on his private Instagram story, Scott took aim at United. He said: "20 years of blood sweat and tears, 4 domestic trophies, 3 cup final goal, not even a farewell. No wonder it's Conference League next year. Attacking players for celebrations when the clubs being sold to the super league ok. Class of 92, Busby Babes, you're ran by people who don't even know the offside trap. Classless and the fans need to realise. Goodnight, god-bless!
"Been there since nine years of age and didn't even get a send off!!! Well done bro
