Manchester United fans show their class with reaction to Phil Jones departure

Manchester United supporters have been taking to Twitter to send their well-wishes to Phil Jones after it was confirmed he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Jones has not played for United all season and barely featured at all in the three campaigns prior either, making a departure inevitable.

An emotional farewell statement penned by Jones read: “It's been very difficult, the last couple of years. There's no denying that. There is no hiding away from that. Signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011, Jones is one of the few United players to have won the Premier League - doing so two years into his time at the club.
