Manchester United fans send emphatic message to Glazer family and show support for Erik ten Hag

It's fair to say the mood around Manchester United has once again plummeted. It wasn't exactly sky high anyway but following on from the opening weekend defeat to Brighton, in which the problems at the club were once again laid bare, it has sunk even further.

Erik ten Hag had done an admirable job in rebuilding optimism in pre-season as he seemed to have made an early impact on his players, but it was always going to be a long, bumpy road in getting the shambolic side that did so poorly last season playing well and competing again. The first of what will likely be many setbacks shouldn't lead to mass hysteria but it does look like another long year is in store.

MEN Sport surveyed 826 United supporters recently asking a wide range of questions about their satisfaction with certain aspects of the club and the results certainly weren't promising. Only 31.84 per cent of responders gave a positive response when asked about their overall happiness with the club.

A big contribution to the malaise is that the majority of the fan base remains infuriated with the club's owners, the Glazer family. Unsurprisingly, only a mere 11.68 per cent of responders said they were happy with the owners. That feeling is certainly evident at Old Trafford, with yet another protest against the owners being held prior to Sunday's game and several anti-Glazer chants being heard throughout the 90 minutes.

Only 30.06 per cent of responders believe the club has shown good ambition this summer which, again, doesn't come as a shock when the grand rebuild which was heralded under Ten Hag hasn't come to pass. The new manager has signed just three players so far and
