Manchester United fans divided on Cristiano Ronaldo role vs Tottenham amid injury news

Manchester United fans are split after Ralf Rangnick confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo is fit to return this weekend.

Ronaldo missed United's defeat to Man City on Sunday due to a hip flexor injury. However, interim boss Rangnick confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Ronaldo is fit to return to the starting XI on Saturday.

Speaking to the media today (Friday), Rangnick said: "He resumed training yesterday. He trained the whole training session and I expect him to train today as well.

"He trained well, like the rest of the group. I would've thought he was available tomorrow."

Fellow striker Edinson Cavani is also expected to return to the United squad after suffering a groin problem and Raphael Varane should be available. Meanwhile Luke Shaw is definitely ruled out having still tested positive for Covid-19.

Scott McTominay is also a doubt with a calf problem. But the main focus for United fans was the return of the club's leading goalscorer and fans were split on welcoming him back.
