Manchester United fans all say the same thing after Marcus Rashford injury news

Manchester United fans have been sharing their relief at the news Marcus Rashford will be afforded a break having withdrawn from the England squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The United talisman was substituted seven minutes from time in Sunday's FA Cup win over Fulham at Old Trafford, with the FA confirming he will miss the international double-header after picking up a knock. Erik ten Hag's side secured a 3-1 victory over the London club to progress to the semi-finals next month.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount and Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope have also pulled out of the squad through injury. The Three Lions face Italy and Ukraine this week in their first matches since the World Cup in Qatar.

Gareth Southgate has called up Spurs shot-stopper Fraser Forster but has decided against replacing Rashford or Mount. The selected players arrived at St. George's Park on Monday ahead of the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy on Thursday and Ukraine on Sunday.

The FA said in a statement: "Marcus Rashford will also miss out on the forthcoming UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers having picked up a knock during Manchester United's Emirates FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham on Sunday."

Rashford has been in scintillating form for Ten Hag's men this term, registering 27 goals and nine assists in 44 matches in all competitions.
