Manchester United fans all say the same thing as Cristiano Ronaldo Ballon d'Or ranking confirmed
Manchester United fans have praised Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest footballers of all time after the 37-year-old came 20th in this year's Ballon d'Or 2022 rankings.
Casemiro and Ronaldo were both named on the 30-man shortlist ahead of the awards ceremony that took place in Paris on Monday night. The former Real Madrid pair were both ranked among the world's best footballers due to their impressive performances last season.
Casemiro won the Champions League last term ahead of his summer move to Old Trafford, the fifth time he's been crowned a European champion. Ronaldo also made the list after his stunning return to United last season saw him notch 24 goals for the Reds in all competitions.

The Portugal international has already won the prestigious award on five occasions but this time it was not to be for the United forward as he was announced in 20th place ahead of Monday night's glitzy ceremony.
The former Barcelona star and Ronaldo's rival Lionel Messi was not nominated for this year's trophy despite winning his record seventh award 12 months ago. The Paris Saint-Germain ace missed out on the shortlist all together, as Ronaldo finished in his lowest position since 2005.
Despite the 17-year-low, United supporters have been quick to heap praise on Ronaldo, as they point out how impressive it is for a player of his age to still be featuring in the top 20 footballers in the world.
Fans took to social media to share their pride as the news broke of Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or rank.
