Manchester United fan protest LIVE as supporters march against Glazers ownership

Manchester United fans will today be protesting against the ownership of the Glazer family before their team takes on Norwich City in the Premier League.

The protest has been organised by the Reds supporters group The 1958. In a statement on Twitter, they said: "Nothing will change until the head of the snake is removed.

"It's rotten and starts from the top down like any business. The club's a mess so we need to act and raise awareness again."

United supporters last protested against the ownership of the club last season ahead of a behind-closed-doors match against Liverpool in the Premier League. The match had to be postponed due to some supporters gaining access to Old Trafford and invading the pitch.

"This isn't another Liverpool; we believe this was a one-off unique event," The 1958 added, referencing the events of May last year. "This is the start of constant, relentless, peaceful and legal protests and actions against our owners.

"We know the challenges ahead of us and we will not waiver or detract from these goals. Bring your colours, flags, banners and flares.

"We need you, we need each other, we need everyone to put aside their differences. Some things are worth fighting for."
