Manchester United may have failed to gain a real advantage on Chelsea in the summer transfer race for Declan Rice amid the Red Devils' decision not to allow Jesse Lingard his dream West Ham transfer.
Chelsea are set to ramp up their chase of Rice at the end of the 2021-22 campaign, understands, but it will not be an easy deal to complete.
