Manchester United eye key Aston Villa man as youth team prodigy ponders offer

While concentration for Erik ten Hag and Manchester United his team will be on bouncing back from the disappointment of their last result, work in the background will be going on around the upcoming transfer window, as the club continue to be linked with players.

There is still some uncertainty over the long-term future of ten Hag, plans will be in place for the summer, with or without the Dutchman. That will include players that the club could target when the window re-opens at the end of the season.

According to FootballTransfers, Aston Villa and England defender Ezri Konsa is the latest to be added to a list for the summer. The centre-back has impressed during his time at Villa Park and made his England debut during the last international break.

The report says that United first showed an interest in the defender last summer, but Villa were reluctant to sell and instead gave Konsa a new big-money contract which he signed back in September. United are said to retain their interest, even though Villa are likely to demand a high price for one of their key men.
