Manchester United duo return to training with attacker attracting loan interest

Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro have returned to full Manchester United training as they step up their recovery from long-term injuries.

Martinez has not played since September while Casemiro has been absent since the first day of November. Erik ten Hag said last week that he expects both players to be back available for selection by the end of the month.

Meanwhile, Facundo Pellistri is attracting loan interest from several clubs. The Uruguay World Cup star has played 13 times but has not started in the league since the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in September and is in need of regular game time.

Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez have both returned to full United training following lengthy injury absences.

Martinez has not played since September after undergoing a second round of surgery on a recurring metatarsal issue that was first sustained in April. Casemiro has been sidelined since November 1 due to a hamstring injury.

Both had been undergoing individual rehabilitation training in recent weeks but on Wednesday rejoined group training for the first time since sustaining their setbacks.

Erik ten Hag said last week that he expects the duo to return to action this month. Mason Mount, Harry Maguire and Tyrell Malacia - yet to play this season following knee surgery in the summer - are also expected to be back in time for February.
