Manchester United could 'reignite Joao Felix interest' and other transfer rumours

Manchester United could reportedly reignite their interest in Joao Felix.

The Atletico Madrid striker was linked with a move to United during the January transfer window. The Reds were seeking an alternative to Cristiano Ronaldo who had left the club under a cloud a couple of months prior.

At the time, United were lacking sufficient funds to sign a player like Felix and instead had to settle for Burnley's Wout Weghorst on loan. The Portuguese forward was out of favour with Diego Simeone and joined Chelsea for the remainder of the season scoring four goals in the process.

According to La Sexta, Atleti are still keen to part ways with Felix citing irreconcilable differences between the player and the manager. This apparently could lead to Felix exiting the La Liga club on a free transfer.

It is claimed such a decision would allow United to enter the race for the 23-year-old and Felix is now keen on a fresh challenge away from Spain.

Elsewhere, RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins understands Fulham are interested in a move for Eric Bailly.

The centre-back spent last season on loan at Marseille but failed to make much of an impact and they opted against signing Bailly permanently, with the 29-year-old returning to Old Trafford in the summer.

Erik ten Hag has earmarked Bailly for a departure from United this summer and Fulham appear to be an option. Marco Silva previously tried to sign Fred from the Reds but failed in his approach as the midfielder joined Fenerbahce.
