Manchester United could do something they haven’t done in 50 years when they face Burnley

Having suffered back-to-back league away defeats this campaign, Erik ten Hag and Manchester United will be aiming to put that right at Turf Moor tonight.

The Reds were beaten by north London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham and also suffered a 4-3 defeat in midweek away to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. The last time United lost their first three away games of the season was back in 1973 under Tommy Docherty - the same season they were relegated from the old First Division. When asked if he is surprised by the challenges he has faced so far, Ten Hag said: “No. It’s my second year. I know it’s not always going up, you will have your gaps and you get stronger from it as long as you stay
