Manchester United could use another wildcard solution after failed Sofyan Amrabat experiment

There can be no fault with the work ethic of Sofyan Amrabat since he joined Manchester United. A fault can be found within his level of performance, though, even if it is not really down to him.

Amrabat has been done a disservice in his first weeks at Old Trafford due to the fact he has been played out of position in every single match so far. He was signed to bolster their defensive midfield options but has instead found himself filling in on the left side of defence amid the ongoing defensive crisis that sees three other senior options currently sidelined.

United are still waiting on a further update regarding Sergio Reguilon's fitness ahead of their clash with Brentford this weekend, but even if he is deemed fit enough to be involved, they might not want to risk a swift return in case there are any repercussions.
