Manchester United confirm Zidane Iqbal clauses as Dean Henderson has transfer expectation

Manchester United have included a buyback clause in the deal that will see Zidane Iqbal move to FC Utrecht for €1million, as well as a sell-on clause that entitles them to 40% of his next transfer fee.

The 20-year-old has completed his move to the Eredivisie, but United have the option to buy the midfielder back should his development accelerate in the Netherlands.

Iqbal shone on United's pre-season tour last summer but he struggled to make a breakthrough last season, appearing on the bench 17 times but failing to make an appearance for Erik ten Hag's side.

United have decided to cash-in on Iqbal now with younger midfielder starting to train more regularly with the first-team, including 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo, but sources have described Iqbal's departure as a 'no lose situation'.

Henderson, 26, is understood to be perplexed by suggestions he could stay at United, who are planning for the England international's sale.
