Manchester United confirm 20-man travelling squad for Fenerbahce as two potential debutants included

Manchester United have included teenage defenders Harry Amass and Habeeb Ogunneye in their squad to face Fenerbahce in the Europa League and the young full-backs are set to make the bench.

Erik ten Hag has selected a 20-man squad for the clash with Jose Mourinho's side, which means nine players will make the bench rather than the 12 permitted under UEFA rules. That includes two back-up goalkeepers in Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.

United are particularly stretched in midfield and Manuel Ugarte, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are the only three central midfielders included in the squad. Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo, Dan Gore and Toby Collyer are all injured, while Bruno Fernandes is suspended.

Ruben Curley has been training with the first-team squad since the end of last week but the 19-year-old midfielder hasn't travelled, whle summer signing Sekou Kone, who trained on Tuesday, wasn't included in the original Europa League squad and doesn't qualify for the B list.

Jonny Evans hasn't trained since picking up a knock in the win against Brentford at the weekend. Fernandes has been given a few days off from training after a busy start to the season and having played twice for Portugal during the international break.

Amass, 17, and 18-year-old Ogunneye made the bench towards the end of last season, but neither have made a first-team debut for United so far.

Ten Hag is relishing the chance to go up against former United boss Jose Mourinho, although this is a big fixture for the Dutchman after his side made a slow start to the league phase.
