Manchester United captain Harry Maguire issues apology for performance in England vs Germany

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has issued an apology and admitted to making mistakes during England's 3-3 draw with Germany at Wembley on Monday night.

It was a bad night for the United defender. Maguire was at fault for Germany's opening goal, as he not only gave the ball away in the build-up, but then went on to bring down Jamal Musiala inside England's box to concede a penalty, as Ilkay Gundogan calmly slotted the ball past Nick Pope to make it 1-0.

After the game, Maguire took to social media to apologise for his poor performance. He posted on Instagram, saying: "Mistakes are part of the game, I apologise. Great fight back and spirit to get us
