Manchester United can't change everything they need to vs Burnley

Manchester United travel to Burnley in need of a result having suffered three successive defeats either side of the international break.

Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League came on the back of a first home loss in the Premier League for more than a year as Brighton won at Old Trafford. It has ramped up the pressure on Erik ten Hag and the Reds ahead of a trip to Turf Moor.

Burnley won the Championship title at a canter last season but have lost all three of their home matches on their top flight return albeit the Clarets did collect their first point of the campaign at Nottingham Forest last time out. Here's five things to watch out for this evening.

United can't change everything they need to vs Burnley

Erik ten Hag will be demanding a much better performance from Manchester United against Burnley tonight, but he won't be able to change everything he needs to for the match. United could be boosted by the return of a few key players for the trip to Turf Moor, though in some areas they will be stuck with no choice but to persist with those who struggled in midweek.

Diogo Dalot will keep his place no matter how badly he played against Bayern Munich. He has struggled for consistency throughout the calendar year but is now the only option at right-back with both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia sidelined.

It is the same story in midfield, where even the return of Mason Mount would do little to bolster their options. Two of the three midfielders that struggled last time out will start at least, with options limited on those to replace them.
