Man City's exciting new midfield duo can continue to blossom against Nottingham Forest

Manchester City take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday as they aim to continue their 100 per cent record to the new season.

The Blues are the only Premier League side with five wins from five while they kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Red Star in midweek. A European Super Cup success last month means it has been a perfect six weeks for Pep Guardiola and Co.

And City will be heavy favourites to earn three points against Forest on home soil with the Blues boasting a formidable home record. Here's five things to look out for ahead of the weekend contest.

Double boost

At long last, Manchester City finally have some overdue good news on the injury front. The Blues could welcome Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic back into the fold. It's hard to notice given they've just kept winning but City have had several key players sidelined for every match so far this season, with Kevin De Bruyne notably out until the new year with a hamstring injury. It's left Guardiola short on substitutes on several occasions.

But he should have close to a full complement for his match-day squad with Grealish and Kovacic recovering from their knocks. It doesn't seem they will be fit enough to start but should be able to contribute off the bench.
