Manchester United branded 'rude' as Aaron Wan-Bissaka told where he should move

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been told he may have to switch leagues in order to find a new suitor after Manchester United put him up for sale.

The right-back hasn’t reached the standards expected at Old Trafford in the eyes of many. A number of supporters feel that they have not had their money’s worth following his £50m switch from Crystal Palace in 2019, and the club seem to share a similar view.

The 24-year-old was a regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but lost his place to Diogo Dalot by the end of Ralf Rangnick’s tenure. He played three league games in the last three months of the season, his final outing coming at left-back in the 4-0 Anfield defeat to Liverpool.

It seems Erik ten Hag, at the very least, did not stand in the way of Wan-Bissaka’s exit. The Manchester Evening News understands that United are now offering the defender to other clubs.

Former England international Gabby Agbonlahor is not impressed by the club’s behaviour in this regard but explained how it will be difficult for Wan-Bissaka to manufacture a move to a rival.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “It’s rude isn’t it, offering him (to other clubs). When I first started playing for (Aston) Villa, he’d probably have been one of the best right-backs in the league.

“It wasn’t about getting an amazing cross in, starting attacks, it was about defending. Martin O’Neill loved his full-backs to defend.

“I don’t think he matches this era of full-backs. Reece James, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker to a certain extent - and Aaron Wan-Bissaka can’t play at all.”
