Manchester United are set for the biggest day of their transfer window so far with two key events
By the end of Wednesday night, Manchester United's transfer window might have taken a step forward. It could be a significant day in the summer.
The first key event comes at midday, when United will release their third-quarter earnings for this financial year, detailing financial results from January, February and March. The club will be well aware of what they have to play with this summer, but the details will offer a clue to others of the cash flow situation.
The results will be key for a couple of reasons, as they include the £1.25bn Ineos investment formally going through, as well as a period when the lack of European football was a financial hindrance. Finishing last in their last Champions League group before Christmas gave United a clearer schedule in the second half of the season, but they would have lost substantial revenue from even competing in the Europa League.

It isn't only the prize money and TV revenue on offer from being in Europe, but the lack of extra games at Old Trafford, with each fixture worth close to £3m. That impact is likely to be laid bare tomorrow.
Rival clubs and agents will probably pore over the results to see just how much extra flesh there is to extract from United this summer. Everton, having rejected two bids for 21-year-old centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, will be looking to see if their Old Trafford counterparts are bluffing about their financial picture.
It is expected United's initial budget this summer allows for a spend of around £50m and the latest results might help paint a picture of why that is the case. A quiet January
