Manchester United and Andre Onana needed a break from each other after difficult six months
“If I have to speak about my season so far for Manchester United, I am not happy because I know I can do much much better," Andre Onana said in an interview last month.
"I've done it and I know I will do it better than what is happening now. We are not facing a good moment. I hope things will change as soon as possible.
"But listen, you want to tell me in six months the best goalkeeper in the Champions League last season can become the worst in the world? Nah. Everything is temporary. I know it'll be alright. If not today, it will be tomorrow, if not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow.”

After that discussion with Sky Sports about his first six months playing for United, Onana became the first goalkeeper in the Premier League to keep a clean sheet at Anfield this season.
Onana made eight saves and he was key in preventing Liverpool from scoring, which was a step in the right direction after conceding three goals against Bournemouth.
United have shipped goals at an alarming rate and Onana has conceded 47 goals in all competitions, already conceding more than he did throughout the entirety of last season (36).
He has made a string of mistakes and errors against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray immediately spring to mind, but there have also been some moments of quality from the 'keeper.
Onana's start to life at Old Trafford has been mixed and ultimately, he still hasn't convinced some fans that he's an upgrade on David de Gea, despite the Spaniard still being a free agent.
