Manchester's Co-Op Live stadium makes first artist announcement - and it's HUGE

Manchester's vast new stadium Co-op Live has announced the first global act that will perform during its opening season - and it's a biggie. The venue, which will become the UK's largest live entertainment arena when complete next year, is to welcome American pop stars Jonas Brothers.

The American brothers are one of the most successful groups of the 21st century, with the trio of Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas have sold over 20 million albums to date. The band's appearance at Manchester’s Co-op Live forms part of Jonas Brothers' global FIVE ALBUMS. ONE NIGHT. tour which has been announced today.

Tickets for the new shows, including at Co-Op Live on June 17, 2024, will go on general sale from Friday, August 4. The Jonas Brothers tour will also head to London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

The announcement comes as the finishing touches are made on the much-anticipated £365m arena, which is set to open in April 2024. Bosses have today reveal that 25 events have already been scheduled for Co-Op Live's opening month, and will be "announced soon".

But news of Jonas Brothers arrival in June makes it the first live announcement that the venue has made. Co-Op Live say "significant announcements" about the venue’s opening season is soon to be made public.
