Manchester restaurants in the running to be crowned best in the country
Several eateries in Manchester have been shortlisted for the British Restaurant Awards 2022, putting them in the running to be named some of the best in the country.
Some of the UK's best restaurants have been named on the shortlist for the fourth annual iteration of the awards, set to take place later this year, with some top dining experiences in the region in the running. The awards, sometimes referred to as the BRA, take nominations from readers of several magazines and members of the World Restaurant Awards Guide for the first quarter of the year, before picking a shortlist from the most nominated eateries.
Then, members of the public are able to vote for their favourite restaurants, with the winners being announced at a glitzy red carpet awards show and annual gala in London. This year, the region's restaurants appear in several categories, including one dedicated to naming the best restaurant in Manchester.
