Managing Manchester United - £92.5million double deal, Gyokeres decision and eight stars leave

With less than a month to go until the transfer window opens, Manchester United are gearing up for a busy summer of business.

Ruben Amorim could end a difficult first season in charge by winning the Europa League and qualifying for next season's Champions League as a result.

But regardless of their success in the final against Tottenham in Bilbao later this month, United must bring in players that suit Amorim's way of playing as they continue their rebuild under the former Sporting CP manager.

With that in mind, MEN Sport have decided to play the role of United's recruitment department and take a look at potential transfer decisions facing the hierarchy.

Manchester Evening News reported last month that United have identified Wolves star Matheus Cunha and Ipswich Town goalscorer Liam Delap as their primary targets to sharpen up their blunt attack next season.

Cunha has a release clause of £62.5million and has scored 17 goals for Wolves in all competitions this season. The Brazil international, 25, is open to a move to United but there is set to be competition over his signature.

Meanwhile, Delap has a £30million release clause after Ipswich's relegation was confirmed and the 22-year-old is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs after scoring 12 goals in a struggling side.

If United can land both players early in the window, it will be a major foundation to build the rest of their transfer business on.

Failing that, it is no secret that Amorim is a huge fan of Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres having helped the Swedish international develop into one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe.
