Man Utd ‘will be pursuing’ £59.3m Frenkie de Jong alternative at Old Trafford
Manchester United ‘will be pursuing’ Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Serbia international has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico for a number of years now, but he seems more likely than ever to seek pastures new.
Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri recently revealed that he is convinced Milinkovic-Savic ‘will not remain in Italy’ if he does leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.

New boss Erik ten Hag is believed to be keen on a reunion with his compatriot after sharing success together during their time at Ajax, yet he is said to be eager to remain in Catalonia.

European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also expected to join the race for Milinkovic-Savic’s signature, though, meaning Ten Hag could face a tough task in trying to bring him to the red half of Manchester.
O’Rourke believes the Red Devils will be actively following Milinkovic-Savic’s situation as they look to bolster their midfield this summer.
He told GiveMeSport: “I think he’s somebody who United will be pursuing to bring into that midfield, and he’s probably more attainable than a Frenkie de Jong right now.
“So, I think United will be trying to do something on this and trying to bring him to Old Trafford despite after all these
