In the report, it is stated that United’s top earner – Cristiano Ronaldo – faces a reduction of £97,000. The 37-year-old’s weekly wage will drop from £385,000 to £288,000.

They add that ‘players are able to negotiate a lesser reduction’ but this club policy is ‘no secret’.
