Arsenal used Louis Dunford's 'The Angel' for the first-ever time on Sunday after it went viral on social media. The song, which has an anthem-esque tone to it, was warmly received among Arsenal supporters due to its connection to north London and the club.

Shared and loved by thousands of fans, the song became a huge talking point, meaning it didn't take long before Arsenal were urged to use it on a matchday.

Two days after being invited to the London Colney training ground, Louis Dunford's dream came true as 'The Angel' was played prior to Arsenal's clash against Leeds United.

With a packed Emirates crowd ready for a huge game, the song was played just minutes before kick-off. The main 'Arsenal forever' chorus was soon ringing out around the stadium as the squad huddled on the pitch.

Considering the song was making its debut, it was well received, and the overall reaction was positive. This will come as a welcome development to Mikel Arteta, who encouraged the club to 'push' more fan involvement moving forwards.
