Man Utd starlet in talks to join Dutch club on permanent deal – player’s contract expires in 2023

According to reports, Man Utd midfielder Tahith Chong is in talks to sign for Dutch outfit Feyenoord on a permanent deal.

The Netherlands U21 international had a spell at Feyenoord as an academy player. He made the move to Man Utd in 2016.

Chong made his senior debut for Manchester United at the start of 2019 when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge.

The 22-year-old has only played 16 times for the Red Devils across all competitions. He had loan spells at Werder Bremen and Club Brugge during the 2020/21 campaign.

The attacker played 19 times for Birmingham City in the Championship last season as he missed 17 games through injury.

Dutch outlet 1908.nl are reporting that Chong ‘can return to Feyenoord’ this summer.

They note that ‘talks with the winger are imminent’. He is out of contract in 2023 and he ‘must be released from Man Utd’ to complete his transfer to Feyenoord.

On Man Utd, Jordan continued: “I don’t think it should be looked at as Manchester United of old, how could you turn down Man United? There are many, many reasons you should turn down Manchester United because ultimately that team, probably from the engine room, needs a rebuild.

“I’m not suggesting going back to the challenges that Eriksen had a summer ago
