Nottingham Forest fans say the same thing as new Premier League shirt is released

Nottingham Forest fans have delivered their verdict on the new Reds’ home kit for the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Steve Cooper’s men will play in the top division for the first time in 23 years in the upcoming season after success in the play-offs just over a month ago. Fans have now had a first glimpse of what the team will be wearing when they take on the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

The design by Macron features a pattern inspired by Trent Bridge in the city on the sleeve of the shirt. The rest of the shirt is in the traditional Garibaldi red.

At the minute, there is no sponsor included on the shirt, but that should change before the start of the season. Forest fans are able to get their hands on the kits by pre-ordering from 5pm today (Friday, July 1).

And it seems that the shirt will fly off the shelves if the reaction on social media is anything to go by. Here is what just some fans had to say when seeing the new home shirt for the first time.

: Jersey reveal on the birthday. Love it. Love the Trent Bridge pattern. Can’t wait for the Premiere League(!) season to start. #NFFC

: Big fan of the pattern going down the side of the shirt under the arms. Very nice touch

: I think it’s quality without the sponsor. Hope it’s a option to buy without #nffc

: A bit underwhelming from the snippet to the actual thing but it is what it is. Pattern all over would have been class. #NFFC

: Whilst it looks oddly plain without a sponsor, I love the simplicity and the Trent bridge pattern is I think I really really like this! #nffc

: Big fan of this, simplicity but intricate details on the sleeves #NFFC

: Loving the trent Bridge theme #NFFC

: Big fan. Simple, yet still unique. #nffc

: very simplistic...
