As much as plenty associated with the club will want the campaign to end quickly, there's no doubt that manager-in-waiting Erik ten Hag will be keeping an eye on these encounters.

Ten Hag is said to be keen to have Cristiano Ronaldo play an important role at Old Trafford next season.

Although the 37-year-old has frequently hit the back of the net this season, the start of a new regime in the summer prompted some to question if the veteran forward would be part of the Dutchman's plans.

However, according to reports Ten Hag is keen to work with Ronaldo and is already forming a blueprint that can bring the most out of the Portuguese and make use of his goalscoring prowess.
