Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has had his transfer budget boosted by nearly £50million.

The Dutchman takes charge at Old Trafford this summer with a massive overhaul of the club's playing squad expected to get underway. And departures may have already helped create some room in Ten Hag's budget to bring in the players he wants.

Manchester United have already managed to rid themselves of nearly £50million in annual wages despite the transfer window being yet to officially open.

Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani and Lee Grant have all been confirmed as leaving the club as Erik ten Hag's rebuild begins.
