Brendan Rodgers has suggested Youri Tielemans may leave Leicester on a free next summer as the scramble for the star's future looks set to intensify.
Belgian midfielder Tielemans is due to become a Bosman in 2023 after failing to sign a new contract despite protracted talks.
It has alerted the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal who are admirers of the talented ace.
Leicester boss Rodgers has previously admitted he is planning a “healthy shake-up” atthis summer and insisted he wasn’t afraid to cash in on key players.
Rodgers previously sold Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell in 2019 and 2020 to Manchester United and for £80million and £50m respectively.
It fuelled growing belief Tielemans, who scored a spectacular winner last term, may be sacrificed as he will have just one year left on his contract.
But Rodgers has now suggested Tielemans, who got six goals and four assists last term when he played every League game, could stay at least another season until 2023 or potentially beyond.
Rodgers said: “He is a joy to work with and however long that is, if it is until the end of his contract or beyond that, he will give everything to the club.
“I have always said before I have no doubt with Youri with his commitment and focus.
“He is a wonderful guy.
