Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool: Red Devils tried PSG's kick-off routine that Mbappe scored from

Manchester United were brilliant in their Premier League clash against fierce rivals Liverpool on Monday evening.

The Red Devils went into the game bottom of the table and extremely low on confidence.

But they ripped up the form-book with a superb display at Old Trafford.

United took the lead in the 16th minute after a moment of magic from Jadon Sancho.

Sancho sat James Milner and Alisson Becker down inside the box before curling the ball into the corner.

They made it 2-0 seven minutes after the break when Marcus Rashford raced clear and found the net.

Mohamed Salah scored late on to set up a grandstand finish but United held on to record a brilliant victory.

United were sensational on the evening and were well worth their victory.

However, they weren’t faultless.

United had the kick-off to restart the second-half. United thought they would try and emulate the kick-off that Bournemouth popularised.

Paris Saint-Germain scored from it on Sunday evening as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe combined to net after just eight seconds against Lille.

So, given the success that other teams have had, United thought they’d give it a go.

It didn’t go well for them, though.

Bruno Fernandes passed the ball back to Scott McTomimany. The Scotsman waited to be closed down before returning the ball to the Portuguese.

Fernandes then tried to give the ball to Christian Eriksen, who was meant to pick out one of the attackers making a forward run behind Liverpool’s defence.

However, Fernandes got his lay-off wrong and gifted possession back to Liverpool. Watch the moment below…
